About Great Beginnings: Paradise Park

The Great Beginnings Early Education Center at Paradise Park is home to the Early Education Program for the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District. Great Beginnings Early Education Center at Paradise Park opened its doors in Fall 2023 after purchasing the property from Juli and Jon Ellis - former educators and longtime supporters of LSR7 - in 2021.

The funds to purchase the 14.52 acres of land and 37,412 sq. ft. facility came from the voter-approved 2020 Bond which promised a second early education center.

In addition to housing Head Start and Early Head Start, Paradise Park has The interior is inspired by the children's story, "Going on a Bear Hunt".

Paradise Park also houses our Summit Technology Academy Environmental Studies course and Hospitality, Tourism & Recreation Management class. The environmental studies class also hosts field trips for LSR7 elementary students on site.
